Experience in developing “hard real time”, high reliability systems, both as a manager of a project and as a developer in a project.  These “hard real time” systems included cockpit avionics, satellite and military shipboard communications.  I have purchased integrated and set-to-work COTS tools in an integrated support environment.  I know the issues facing both systems’ suppliers and the customer who must make the systems work in an operational context.  Customers include:

• Canadian Armed Forces (Air and Maritime elements),
• Transport Canada and the United States Flight Aviation Authority (FAA),
• The United States Department of Defense (DOD),
• NASA, and
• The British Ministry of Defence (MOD).
